Ever since Grandpa Kent went to Hong Kong, I haven’t bothered to get BYU basketball tickets. While I’m a fan of BYU Basketball, I’m not a big enough fan to want to go to games by myself and the number of games during the work week makes it hard to take Sam or other kids… Continue reading Basketball and Bowling

Emily’s Birthday 2010
By the time you’re 15, birthday’s in our house are a pretty low-key affair. You get a cake and a present or two but no party other than your family singing happy birthday. On the bright side, when you turn 15 you can now go out and get your learner’s permit. Emily hasn’t got learner’s… Continue reading Emily’s Birthday 2010
2010 Annual Christmas Lights Trip
Our annual trip downtown with Aunt Lori to see the Christmas lights. This has become a fun tradition.
‘Tis the Season
My kids have been asking me since before Thanksgiving when we were going to put up Christmas lights. The problem with Christmas lights is that I’m completely afraid of heights and can’t bear to get up on our roof again after the first time I put lights up several years ago. Last year I bought… Continue reading ‘Tis the Season
Halloween 2010
Halloween wasn’t a fancy affair this year. I was too busy with school to help much with costumes and the older girls were too busy being teenagers to care about trick-or-treating like the used to. Snow Day
I am sure glad that I took care of the tomatoes yesterday because this is what my garden looked like today. A couple of days ago we had some snow, but not enough for the kids to play in. Luckily last nights storm brought in enough for the kids to enjoy!
Goodbye to Gardening
Since it is supposed to get to the freezing point tonight I decided it was time to get rid of all of the tomato plants. It was hard work especially because we had at least ten plants. Most of the tomatoes were still green, but I heard that they will ripen okay inside so I… Continue reading Goodbye to Gardening
My Startup Adventure
While life at Dataimage was good, I started to feel a bit stagnant and, although I hadn’t finished my Masters degree yet, decided to jump at the opportunity when a couple of former colleagues told me about a startup they were working at. I’ve worked for big companies and small companies and startups in the… Continue reading My Startup Adventure
We’ll Miss You Barrel Man, But Not Much
With BYU announcing football independence last month, this 2010 football season will be the last time we’ll see most of the MWC foes on the football field for quite a while. Frankly, I’m not terribly sad about no longer playing some of the MWC teams but I will miss seeing Wyoming’s Barrel Man every once… Continue reading We’ll Miss You Barrel Man, But Not Much
Sam’s artwork
Today is my birthday and Sam made a special picture for me. It is interesting that when my girls draw pictures they draw a scene, but when Sam draws a picture he tells a story. Can you see the story behind this picture?
