This past Tuesday we took Diana to Primary Children’s Medical Center for her six month cardiac checkup. They did both the EKG and the cardiac ultrasound.  Last time Diana had to be sedated for the ultrasound because she was too wiggly. This time she held still with the aid of a supply of purple suckers and… Continue reading Diana’s Heart Checkup

Sushi Class
Nancy and I went to a sushi class tonight. We both love sushi and thought it would be nice to learn how to make it at home.  The class was taught by Jim Light of Home Cooks Culinary Adventures and was held in the demonstration kitchens at Kimball Distributing in Salt Lake City. We covered a… Continue reading Sushi Class
Out with the old, in with the new
Welcome to the new home of our website – byufan.net. Why byufan.net? Well, we were tired of our old domain name – it was hard for people to remember and hard to verbally tell people our email address. “byufan.net” is short and easy to remember. Best of all, it was available – so we took it.
New Furniture
Nancy and I decided we wanted to have a decorator help us do the front room. We wanted something that was elegant but not too formal, some seating where people could listen to the piano, and a place to store piano music that would hide the ugly music (music always gets beat up and dog-eared… Continue reading New Furniture
Making Progress

Samuel was a knight and Diana was a bumblebee. I took all the kids trick-or-treating together and they seemed to enjoy it. After Diana got tired (halfway down… Continue reading Halloween

The official term is Atrial Septal Defect with Anomalous Venous Connection. Because only one of… Continue reading Diana’s Heart Checkup

Starting the second floor…
They laid the beams for the second floor today. No steps up to the floor yet. Looking from the kitchen to the family room You can see the fireplace behind Anne. If I remember right, we only got a fake-gas log fireplace – not a woodburning one. Caroline stands in the driveway The master bedroom… Continue reading Starting the second floor…
Framing Continues…
It’s amazing to see how fast the walls go up in just a matter of days. Today they completed the exterior walls on the first floor and started on the interior walls. Still no steps down into the basement yet. Looking from the kitchen towards the garage entrance Anne and Caroline in the front yard
