I went outside to check the garbage can in case the camera had fallen in, and I found it. Luckily it wasn’t in too deep so I could reach in and get it with not too much searching in the muck. So now I will put some pictures in my post about Samuel’s birthday party.

Sam’s 8th Birthday and the lost camera
This past Saturday we had five little friends over to celebrate Sam’s 8th birthday. It was a very low key affair. To start things off we had Pizza and lemonade, while the boys talked about video games and other boy stuff. Then we played the candy matching game which is like memory where they match… Continue reading Sam’s 8th Birthday and the lost camera
Chinese Immersion Update
I have decided not to put Diana in the Chinese immersion program at school because, of course, they have it on the worst track in year round school. I went to the informational meeting at the end of March looking forward to hearing how great the program was. It did indeed sound very good and… Continue reading Chinese Immersion Update
Some more Art from Anne
Anne just finished this beautiful piece of artwork. She is also going to write a story to go with the picture. I think she is very good artist and her best work medium is pencil.
Anne’s art for our Christmas Letter
This year I asked Anne to draw me a picture I could put on our Family Christmas letter. She asked me, “what should I draw mom?” and I told her to come up with something that made you think of the Christmas season. This is what she came up with. In our Christmas letter there… Continue reading Anne’s art for our Christmas Letter
Anne’s painting

Usually on the first day I like to… Continue reading First day of School
More canning news

Beets
Today was the day I decided to break in my new pressure canner by doing beets. We planted two rows of beets and most of the seeds sprouted so we had tons. We started off using the beets by making Borscht and beet salad. They were really good but we grew tired of beets pretty… Continue reading Beets
Stitches
The part of raising a family I don’t really enjoy dealing with is that of injuries. This past weekend we had another trip to the instacare to fix another injury. It was Luppin’s turn to get some stitches. While I was mowing the back lawn Luppin and Samuel were in the front yard playing around.… Continue reading Stitches
